Trealy Farm is a 138 acre organic mixed farm (horses, veg, cattle, sheep) on a hillside looking out towards the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. It’s a beautiful, wild and secluded space. Organic food grown on the farm and the neighbouring farm (also organic) will be used in cooking for the workshop as far as possible.

WHAT TREALY FARM OFFERS

  • Natural swimming pool, wood fired sauna and infrared sauna available for participants.
  • Many special walks on the farm. There is an ancient yew tree.
  • Refreshments: unlimited teas, coffee, milks, biscuits and home-made cake at tea time.
  • Free wifi.
  • Participants can self-cater. The Pavilion kitchen is available 24 hours.  The Farmhouse kitchen is available up to 10 am.  Some of the accommodation includes cooking facilities (the pods, log cabins and barn).  .
  • Trealy Farm can provide full catering for all meals at an additional cost.

ACCOMMODATION

Prices are inclusive of all bedding and towels and sole use of the communal spaces.  The prices below are for 2 nights and are the TOTAL for your stay unless you take up the additional food option at £68 for your 2 day stay, which includes self-service breakfast.  NB You will be asked to pack and empty your accommodation – i.e. the room you are staying in overnight – before the workshop starts on the last morning.  There may be an option to stay an extra night in the accommodation – this should be arranged directly with Ruth when you book.

ENSUITE, DETACHED

2 LOG HOUSES: self-contained for one or two occupants in double and single beds (double with single bunk bed above), seating area, fully fitted kitchen and ensuite bathroom. Wood fired stove, electric heaters and French window opening onto its own patio area.

2 PODS: self-contained with double bed, seating area, kitchen and ensuite bathroom. Electric heaters. Covered verandah and a firepit. POD OLYGFA is near the house and has stunning views to the Black Mountains. POD Y COED is a three minute walk from the house and surrounded by pasture and trees.

£165 single occupancy; £230 double/ twin occupancy

 

1 x BARN COTTAGE: self-contained on two floors: bedroom / seating area with log fired burner, fully fitted kitchen and ensuite bathroom. Central heating. The Barn Room sleeps one in a double or two in two doubles.

CARAVANS WITH OWN LOO BUT OUTSIDE SHOWER 7 MINUTES WALK AWAY

There are three additional showers and three additional toilets and access to fully fitted kitchen in Pavilion for those in tents, caravans or camping. 

2 x Caravans: Caravans each with two small double beds, basic kitchen and toilet / shower room.  Electric lights and heating. Good value private ensuite option.

£135 single occupancy; £195 double/ twin occupancy

 

FARMHOUSE WITH SHARED BATHROOMS

4 x FARM-HOUSE BEDROOMS: double bedrooms in traditional 16th century farm house with access to two shared bathrooms and additional toilet.

£150 single occupancy; £220 double occupancy

 

1 x Farm House Twin Room: huge room sleeps one or two in two doubles in 16th century Welsh long house with access to two shared bathrooms and additional toilet.

£150 single occupancy; £220 double/ twin occupancy

 

SHEPPY THE SHEPHERD’S HUT WITH OUTSIDE SHARED TOILET AND BATHROOM

£135 single occupancy; £190 double / twin occupancy

TENTS

There are three additional showers and three additional toilets and access to fully fitted kitchen in Pavilion for those camping.

2 x Bell tents Large, 4m tall canvas tents, sleep one or two in small doubles, bedside table.  Access to fully fitted kitchen and bathroom in Pavilion as well as two additional showers.

£130 single occupancy; £190 double/ twin occupancy

 

OWN CAMPING

You are welcome to bring your own tent or campervan. This includes access to the toilets, showers, kitchen and fridge. 

No bedding or towels provided with this option.

Camp near house or in a secluded location.

£50 per person for tent;
£60 per person for using own campervan without electricity or
£70 for hook up to electrics

 

OFF SITE FACILITY FEE AND VENUE HIRE CHARGE

For those staying offsite there will be a charge of £40 per module.  

 

FOOD

Self Catering: You are welcome to bring your own food and cook for yourself in the Pavilion kitchen which will be small if everyone is using it!  It has a big fridge.  You can book specific meals provided you do this WELL IN ADVANCE (2 weeks notice please).  Breakfast and afternoon cake is £4 per person per day.  Lunch £15 per meal.  Dinner £15 per meal.

 

Trealy Farm Catering @ £68 per person for the 2 days of the modules.
An option is to have all food prepared for you.  Please inform at the time of booking if you have a special diet.  The group will either eat in the farmhouse dining room or outside.  This will include supper at 7pm on the day of arrival, breakfast lunch and supper on day 1 of the workshop, breakfast and lunch on day 2 of the workshop.

 

Breakfast DIY: Bread, eggs, honey, porridge, milk, butter 

Lunch 2 course: Soup & main 

Supper 2 course: Main & Pudding

The cost for food to be prepared for you is £68 for the 2 days.  NB You can book specific meals provided you do this WELL IN ADVANCE (2 weeks notice please).  Breakfast and afternoon cake is £4 per person per day.  Lunch £15 per meal.  DInner £15 per meal.

All meals MUST be prebooked well in advance. IF YOU REQUEST A SPECIAL DIET, PLEASE BE CLEAR if this is due to a preference (and you can eat a bit of that food), an intolerance (it does not suit you and causes symptoms) or if you have a full allergic anaphylactic reaction.  It can be irritating for the venue to cook a special dish only to discover that you eat the one prepared for the rest of the group!
