PESSO GROUP ONLINE SUPERVISION WITH JULIET GRAYSON
Juliet is trialling a new way of doing group supervision for PBSP.
For people who either
- Want to have a film supervised or talk in depth about a client (you will have 2 longer supervision sessions of 35 mins each) OR
- Want support getting their PBSP group started (you will have 2 shorter supervision sessions of 15 mins each) OR
- Want to be an observer of the supervision sessions (you will be an observer, not having your own supervision session, but able to join in and ask questions at the Q and A session).
This will consist of 4 group supervision sessions (once a month)
Each session lasts 2 hours 45 mins. This includes a 10 minute break.
NB If the group is smaller, i.e. less than the 8 people planned in this document, then I will adjust the timings (reducing the total time of the course) but it will still run in some form.
WHAT I AM OFFERING
LONGER SUPERVISION SLOTS 1 place left
4 people will have two x ‘longer’ supervision slots (35 minutes each) over the 4 months. These will be numbered person 1, person 2, person 3, person 4. Persons 1-4 should plan on bringing a film to each session. This can be video of a structure in a group, or a zoom of a 1:” structure (with a client or a peer/colleague (NB If using film of a peer/colleague, then please ensure you have their explicit knowledge and written permission to show parts of a film of them as a client to the supervision group). Could be a recording of something you did in intervision. Or bring an audio. Or you can use the space to have a deep discussion of client work.
COST for Person 1,2,3,4 will have two x 35 minute individual supervision slots over the 4 months, and attend the full 2 hours 45 minutes £275 total price (i.e. £68.75 per session) click here to pay
SHORTER SUPERVISION SLOTS sold out
4 other people will have 2 ‘short’ supervision slots which last 15 mins each. These will be numbered person 5, person 6, person 7, person 8. Persons 5-8 can bring a short piece of film OR questions – such as asking about setting up a group, or related to a particular client.
COST for Person 5 6 7 8 will have two x 15 minute individual supervision slots over the 4 sessions and attend the full 2 hours 45 minutes each time £145 total price (ie. £36.25 per session)
OBSERVER SLOTS spaces
There will be observer spaces, for people to watch, whilst having their camera off – to witness what is happening. They will be invited to turn their camera on and join in the final q and a session.
COST FOR OBSERVER £80 per person (i.e. £20 per session)

DROP IN AS AN OBSERVER spaces
Participants will be allowed to ‘drop in’ to one session as an observer at £35 per 2 hour 45 minute session. Please pre-book these. click here to pay

Anyone who is trained in PBSP, in training in PBSP and about to train in PBSP (though this last group would be there in the observer role).

PREPARING A FILM
- We will watch the beginning together (approx. 5 mins of the start of the structure).
- You will then take the film to the main part where you have a question, wish to show a problem, or demonstrate what a great session you ran.
- If time we will watch 2 minutes of the ‘best part’ of the antidote phase.
- If you are able to supply a transcript of the relevant parts, that is really helpful, especially if it can be sent in advance.
- Adding the supervision query or question that you have at the top of the transcription is also really helpful.
HOW MUCH WILL THIS COUNT TOWARDS MY 35 HOURS OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED FOR ACCREDITATION IN THE UK?

- In a group setting where your own session as a therapist is actually being supervised, you can count the full time of the live supervision and feedback e.g. an hour /an hour and a quarter /an hour and a half (as appropriate).
- In a supervision group, each hour that you observe being supervised can also count as 20 minutes of supervision, up to a maximum of 12 hours (i.e. 36 supervision sessions where you observe other PBSP therapists)
THIS MEANS YOU CAN COUNT
- LONG SESSIONS 35 mins plus 1/3 of 165 mins i.e. 43mins
TOTAL 78 mins per session - SHORT SESSIONS 15 mins plus 1/3 of 150 mins i.e. 50 mins
TOTAL 65 mins per session - OBSERVERS 55 mins 1/3 of 165 mins
