Single Session Therapy (SST), Group-in-person, One to One in Person, or Online

Pesso Boyden can be used as a Single Session Therapy (SST).  This is where the client comes for one session, with a very specific focus, and the therapist and client agree to work collaboratively on this issue.

There is an option to return for more sessions….but no requirement for that.  Client sessions (known as structures) may take place in a group situation (where the client usually attends for the whole day), or in a one to one session (which can be online or can be in person).

Juliet runs workshops where people attend, just for one session, with no intention or commitment to continue for longer.

She also runs ongoing groups, that meet three times, spread out over a year. These constitute three ‘single session therapy sessions’ because the client will often pick a brand new topic for each session.

Some people find it useful to keep coming back to have occasional sessions, as life ‘unfolds’, or as some aspect of their history informs the present in an unhelpful way, causing issues or problems.

Thus the Pesso Boyden System is flexible, with the client deciding how many sessions they would like to have.
