Advanced Certificate in the Clinical Application of Attachment Theory
This Advanced Certificate Training is made up of a series of online courses. The aim is to explore the benefits of working therapeutically in an attachment informed way linking clinical work with attachment research and theory.
Each day of training carries 7 CPD hours (to include 1 hour per day of training as pre-course listening or reading)
Maximum of 18 participants, apart from Module 7 – Attachment and Oneself, which has a maximum of 8 participants.
This will be led by Nicola Jones who is an expert in attachment, and one of our core trainers.
Introduction to the Series
An attachment-informed approach can make the inner worlds of our clients and patients more visible and is essential to meeting others safely and enabling the exploration of their presenting problems. No other clinical theory yields so much practical information about the theory of human development as attachment theory and no other theory explicitly links establishing a secure base in therapy with a similar process during infancy.
Attachment theory does not dictate a particular form of treatment; rather, understanding the nature and dynamics of attachment and of mentalisation (capacity for curiosity and holding uncertainty) informs rather than defines intervention and clinical thinking (Slade (2008)
You will be able to attend some or all of the modules, and book to attend the ones you want to.

Erotic Transference in the Therapy Room
Contrary to the myth that both clients and therapist cease to be sexual beings once they start working together, we know that sexual attraction, desire and erotic transference phenomena take place in the consulting room. This ranges from simply liking each other and enjoying each other’s company, to flirtations, infatuations, and in some cases, erotic transference phenomena – both positive and negative. This can continue all the way through to stalking and various forms of exaggerated control.
It is no wonder that, when these processes occur, inexperienced therapists run for the hills and clients might never make it to the next session.
This seminar takes the position that these phenomena are an integral part of the therapeutic process rather than an interruption to it (as Freud thought for a while). They are not only indicative of the deep bond that accompanies effective therapy, but the therapist needs to be able to utilise these for their work.

Working Somatically With Dreams – A Relational And Embodied Approach
Dreams invite us into a different kind of knowing. They speak in images, sensations, symbols, and felt truths that often sit just beneath conscious reach. This immersive two day online workshop offers a spacious and experiential environment where practitioners can slow down, listen with the whole body, and learn to meet dreams as living material that wants to unfold.
Over the two days we will weave together teaching, personal reflection, case discussions, paired exercises, small group exploration, and live demonstrations. The focus is on helping you gain confidence in working with dreams through the body, through relationship, and through the subtle language of imagination and sensation.
We space the two days out, to allow 2 nights for your own dreams to emerge.

Navigating Needs: A Workshop for Those Parenting a Neurodivergent Child
Do you have a Neurodivergent Child? Would you like some help to think about the different ways you could help them?
This is a thoughtful, practical training for those who want to understand their ND child’s world with more clarity, confidence, and compassion.
Parenting a neurodivergent child often means holding many layers at once. There can be moments of joy and connection, alongside overwhelm, worry, or feeling unsure how to support your child’s unique needs. This training offers a grounded, non-judgemental space to explore what can help an ND child feel safe, understood, and able to thrive, while also recognising the reality of family life.

Behind the Screens: Understanding Compulsive Sexual Behaviour and its Relational Impact
CSBD, or sex/porn addiction as it’s most commonly known, can present unique
challenges in the therapy room, often impacting not only the individual but also their partners and relationships.
This 2-day training workshop equips therapists with the essential knowledge and clinical tools to recognise and assess compulsive sexual behaviours and guide clients towards healing. Through a trauma-informed and relational lens, participants will learn to support both clients and partners and navigate the ethical and clinical complexities of this work with confidence.

Residential Workshop For Men: The Shrunken Soul
Do you beat yourself up when things go wrong? Do you doubt yourself at crucial moments? Can you never quite get there, or be good enough? These are signs of an all-too-common wounding in the lives of men. Whether it happened through a carer’s cruelties in childhood, belittling and bullying at school, or constant sideswipes and point-scoring at work, being shamed can have a terrible effect on us as we grow and develop.
Join William and Simon in a safe and supportive male environment as they dive into the workings and woundings of shame in men’s lives. During this highly experiential weekend in the remarkable Monmouthshire countryside, they will be using skills and techniques (such as story, poetry, ritual and deep sharing) acquired as they too served time under the shadow of shame, bringing back some hard-earned gold to share…. Expect a kind welcome and a warm understanding…
