Overview:
Dreams invite us into a different kind of knowing. They speak in images, sensations, symbols, and felt truths that often sit just beneath conscious reach. This immersive two day online workshop offers a spacious and experiential environment where practitioners can slow down, listen with the whole body, and learn to meet dreams as living material that wants to unfold.
Over the two days we will weave together teaching, personal reflection, case discussions, paired exercises, small group exploration, and live demonstrations. The focus is on helping you gain confidence in working with dreams through the body, through relationship, and through the subtle language of imagination and sensation.
We space the two days out, to allow 2 nights for your own dreams to emerge.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course, you will have had the opportunity to:
- Deepen your understanding of what dreams are, how they arise, and the different stages of sleep that shape them.
- Explore a broad range of theoretical perspectives, from classical ideas through to contemporary relational and somatic approaches.
- Differentiate the many forms dreams can take, such as repetitive dreams, trauma dreams, compensatory dreams, and developmental dreams.
- Reflect on your own assumptions, meanings, and creative instincts around dreamwork, and consider how these shape your clinical presence.
- Practise embodied interventions that help clients move from talking about a dream to experiencing its textures, emotions, and impulses within the body. These include gentle movement practices, experiential imagery, relational attunement, and techniques that work beautifully both online and in person.
- Learn how to invite a dream into the therapeutic relationship so it becomes a companion in the work, revealing what may be emerging, longing for attention, or ready for healing.
This workshop is suitable for qualified and trainee therapists, counsellors, and practitioners who wish to enrich their clinical work and bring a more grounded, embodied, and relational sensibility to dreams. If you are curious about using dreamwork to deepen engagement with clients, or if you long to explore this territory with guidance, companionship, and creativity, you will find this a warm and welcoming space.
You will leave with practical tools, renewed confidence, and a richer sense of how dreams can support therapeutic change.

MAXIMUM NUMBERS :30
OUR EXPECTATION : Is that you will attend this workshop for the full length of the course, have your video on, your mobile off, and fully participate.
There are some online talks on zoom that allow you to come and go, or to choose not to participate in the exercise and breakout rooms. This culture has started to creep into our workshops. We have even had people say they want to leave to go and pick up children from school or walk their dog! People dropping in and out is very disruptive – especially when there may be group exercises that are planned for the same group to participate in a number of times. Because of this, we want to be clear about our expectations. This workshop has been planned with the assumption that you, and everyone else, will attend for the full time.
So please be clear, that if you book on this workshop, we expect you to attend for the whole time, to participate in the breakout rooms and exercises and have your video switched on.
Please also put your mobile to one side and on silent – checking your phone or texting will mean that you miss material. So we request that you only check your phone during breaks.
CPD : After you have attended the workshop you will be sent a certificate for 5 hours of continuous professional development, when you fill in the feedback form (the only required fields are your name, email address and date of the workshop).
EQUIPMENT YOU WILL NEED : We will use Zoom, so you would need a computer that has good enough internet access to be able to be online, and in a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed. It would be preferable if there are no people walking around in the background. An iPhone can be used in an emergency, but we recommend planning on using a laptop or computer. Tablets also work, though please be aware that they have less functionality in Zoom.
Therapists Insurance: By booking on this workshop you confirm that you have sufficient insurance to offer therapy to the public. (We are required by the NCIP, who accredit this workshop, to ask you to confirm this). If there is any discrepancy please let us know by contacting jonstow.cyh@gmail.com
CANCELLATIONS : Any request to change (e.g. defer to alternative dates) or cancel your place at a workshop, that is made at less than 21 days before the course start date will be charged in full. Any cancellation / amendments / requests to defer before 21 days, will be subject to a 12.5% handling charge.
