PESSO BOYDEN GUIDED PRACTICE with LIVE SUPERVISION

HOW THE DAY WORKS
There will be someone who is trained or training in PBSP who will lead the structure.  Mostly, these are people who are already qualified as a therapist or counsellor.  This PBSP student will lead the structure.  But, Juliet will be sitting beside them, to help them lead a ‘good’ structure. 
The clients are ‘real live’ clients.
The aim of the day is primarily for the supervisee – with the client coming a close second.  There will be moments during the structure session where we will pause the structure, and Juliet and the student therapist will have a conversation, and then the structure will continue.  People comment about how useful these discussions often are for them to hear.

ATTENDANCE
Everyone is expected to attend for the whole day. If this is likely to be difficult please discuss this in advance with Juliet

STRUCTURES WILL BE ALLOCATED IN ADVANCE
Juliet will pre-allocate the structures, so that clients and supervisees know when their turn is.

WHO CAN ATTEND
Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Pesso Boyden System of Psychotherapy is welcome to attend as an observer participant (option 3). You do not need to have had any prior experience of PBSP.

Client sessions (option 3) are open to anyone who has already had at least one structure as a client.

Supervision slots (option 2) are only open to people who have completed at least one year of PBSP training.

Numbers are limited to four client sessions (and hence four supervisee sessions per day). 

Date: Thursday 23rd May 2023 (alternative dates Nov 13 2024, Nov 14 2024, Nov 15 2024) 

Venue: Drill Hall, Chepstow, Monmouthhire NP16 5HJ

Timings:  8.45am arrival for a prompt 9.00am start.  Finish by 6.45pm

Booking:  The price in brackets is the early booking price, which is for bookings made more than 1 month before the date.  

IF YOU CANNOT BOOK: If you cannot book it means that the slots have been taken. In this case please email juliet@therapyandcounselling.co.uk AND sambaker.pa@gmail.com and ask to be put onto the waiting list.  LET THEM KNOW IF YOU WANT A CLIENT SLOT OR A SUPERVISEE SLOT.

Client: Option 3: £150 (£130) to attend and have a guaranteed structure place as a client. Supervisee: Option 2: £180 (£160) to attend and have a 1 hour 15 min supervision slot leading a structure to a ‘live client.’    CLICK HERE TO BOOK 23rd MAY 2024

Observer Participant: Option 1: £90 (£80) to attend one day as an observer participant, i.e. watching and available to play roles for other people.     CLICK HERE TO BOOK FOR 11th DECEMBER 2023

Help:   Juliet will be packing up and loading her car up at the end of the day. A hand to pack and load the car would be very much appreciated. This takes about 45 minutes.

Facilitator: Juliet Grayson UKCP Registered NLPtCA and COSRT Accredited Psychotherapist.  Juliet was one of the first people in the UK to become a PBSP trainer.

The Commitment:  Unless otherwise agreed, you are expected to stay for the whole day.

The Purpose:  of the group is to teach the supervisee about leading a PBSP structure.  We aim to give the client a good experience too.

Lunch: The cost of lunch is not included in these fees.  Please bring a packed lunch with you.

Parking: Please bring change to park your car in the car park. It is approx. £7 for the day.

 

Therapists Insurance: By booking on this workshop you confirm that you have sufficient insurance to offer therapy to the public. (We are required by the NCIP, who accredit this workshop, to ask you to confirm this).  If there is any discrepancy please let us know by contacting jonstow.cyh@gmail.com

Cancellations: Any request to change (eg defer to alternative dates) or cancel your place at a workshop, that is made at less than 21 days before the course start date will be charged in full.  Any cancellation / amendments / requests to defer before 21 days, will be subject to a 12.5% handling charge.
