Sometimes the words we most need are already inside us – they just need the right space to come forward.
This new Therapeutic Writing Group offers a gentle and creative way to explore your inner world. Guided by Dr Claire Williamson PhD, you’ll be introduced to a range of writing techniques designed not for publication, but for personal growth, reflection, and healing. This is a one off opportunity.
Together, we’ll create a non-judgemental, empathic space where you can write freely, share (if you wish), and listen to others. The focus is not on polished prose or poetry, but on writing as a pathway to insight, connection, and emotional wellbeing.
This group is open to everyone – therapists and non-therapists alike. If you’re curious about how words can help you discover more of yourself, you are warmly invited to join.
To ensure the group feels safe and supportive, we ask that you’ve either attended a workshop with Claire before, or arrange a short conversation with her beforehand.
Claire brings over 20 years’ experience in creative writing for therapeutic purposes, spanning mental health, bereavement, healthcare, and education. She is known for her ability to hold groups with both compassion and depth, enabling participants to find their voice and uncover fresh perspectives through writing.
If you feel drawn to explore writing as a therapeutic practice, this group may be the right next step for you.
